Project Lead for "Kauf nebenan!" – an initiative by Germany's biggest neighbourhood network nebenan.de devoted to supporting local businesses...

During a period of one year our small team was able to launch two major campaigns together with PayPal – the second one providing a high 6-digit budget. As the project lead I've not only functioned as the main operations contact for the incredible external PayPal team but also as the internal stakeholder manager which translates into working with a fantastic interdisciplinary team involving Communications, Design, Product, Sales, Marketing, Business Intelligence and Advertising – as well as coordinating freelancers and other external partners. Coordination and constant communication was truly key here involving setting up agile workflows and project plans, RACI matrix, regular check-ins and retros and with being in the time we're in now: extreme strategic flexibility. It was challenging and it was fun! Or maybe because of it?

The first project phase took around 9 months while the live launch took about 10 hours using an agile approach. The course of every sprint screamed for an iteration... which boosted creativity. We really had to think on our feet... or back... or gymnastic balls.

Two of my strengths really helped with this challenging task: positivity and adaptability. Being flexible in the sense of dealing with what's to come and trusting the outcome will be exactly what we want without defining what it should be made me feel very calm. And this calmness transcended into the whole team. It truly was one of the most incredible experiences I had in my life and the one where I felt and was the strongest version of myself. This made me grow and mature, no project will ever achieve. Okay, okay just as a disclaimer: not so obviously but seriously I would never declare having a child as a project but as the most challenging task I face every day and I'm thankful for this. It really makes me grow every day. And it drives me crazy every day but it also makes me a better leader, a better teammate, a better listener, a better organiser, simply a more appreciative and kinder person...in the end.

My role here was strongly focused on conceptional work: e.g. wireframing an e-learning platform for medical staff and co-managing the project with a...colleague. Additional tasks included UX research, copywriting and performing workshops with clients. Then I became pregnant.

My last role being a Senior Project Manager at "FZEY" I started with a new one coming back after emigration to Australia and my Sabbatical: Head of Studio... Being a small team with up to ten people meant a variety of tasks came with this role. Ranging from business development and strategy, the good old project management and client consulting to HR and administrative management. Within a short amount of time I managed to establish a workflow process for all upcoming projects that fits the needs of the team and the clients, established a more efficient billing flow and hosted company culture events like "Lunch & Learn".

It was long overdue and fabulous because I got bored. And then completed a training course for becoming a Scrum Master.

One of the best stops in my career journey with the greatest agency in all of Australia. As a Senior Digital Project Manager at "Liquorice" in Melbourne I had... the chance to not only learn heaps but was encouraged to give and share a lot as well: my input, my expertise, my joy, my opinion, my concerns, my ideas. Learning from my mentors and being one for the juniors made me fall in love with my job all over again. It sounds cheesy but honestly I don't care. Keeping budgets, timelines and resources in check for clients like the Alcohol and Drug Foundation or the Victoria Aids Council was bliss.

We emigrated to Melbourne, Australia and I was lucky enough to become a Campaign Manager for Australia's most well-known publishing company... "Broadsheet" after just four weeks of being there.I supported the Commercial Team with key account management, client consulting, time and event management and team coordination.

Starting out as a Project Manager at FZEY managing not only digital but also print projects for a variety of clients ranging from startups and event agencies to... foundations and established SMEs I became a Senior after one year. Adding conceptual work, leading a team, training interns and managing bigger accounts to my list of responsibilities. We established a great team but then Australia was calling (me).

To keep the really old work past in a nutshell: I started working early and always loved jobs with a spectrum of tasks and possibilities for building different strengths... So I was a project assistant in media and public relations, copywriting and editing. I art directed at photo shoots. I helped out with event and office management and social media. I worked as a producer on music videos for a media company while interviewing the artists. And did copywriting and radio correspondence as a side hustle.

...and to keep my education path in a nutshell: After my A-levels ("Abitur") I successfully completed an apprenticeship as an Industrial Business Manager and did my Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies with a focus on media communications including studies abroad in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Melbourne, Australia.
